Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8726The main focus of this study is to emphasize the notion of dance as important to the artist and teacher as a choreographic creation in classes, awakening the essence built throughout the process, considering the fact that each student has their own particular way of thinking about this particular dance, which is the main theme of my research. The research aims to portray the multiplicity of teaching, research, and creation of jazz in schools in Belém in general, specifying the trajectory of this dance around the world, from the slavery period to the present day, through musicals, classes, conferences, lectures, documentaries, among others. It also introduces various ways of teaching this dance and developing the creativity of both teacher and student, intertwined with participatory methodology, aiming to foster dialogues between subjects to deepen the content. Thus, jazz teaching follows multiple rhizomatic lines, especially in the city of Belém, located in the North region of Brazil, something that Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari introduced in their studies, together with Matt Mattox through his multiple experiments..
