The use of geoprocessing, particularly the calculation of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) through Remote Sensing products, allows for precise monitoring of vegetation regeneration and soil recovery, as well as the evaluation of the impacts caused by mining activities. The research utilizes data acquired from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), combined with tools such as QGIS and Google Satellite images, to create detailed terrain models and track environmental changes over the period from 2013 to 2023.
