Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8420This study is a report on the activities carried out as part of the research project entitled Statutes and Associativism in the Brazilian Amazon: Studies on the statutory documentation of cultural, commercial, political, religious, recreational, sporting and professional associations in Pará (1835-1988). The aim of this project was to investigate, create and disseminate research tools, search mechanisms, events and works that would make it possible to expand network access to the collection of statutes of civil associations and cooperatives held by the Amazon Memory Center (CMA-UFPA), linking this collection to two others linked to the Public Archives of the State of Pará (APEP-SECULT-PA) for the period between 1835 and 1988. As part of this broader objective, we helped build the catalogs corresponding to a comprehensive documentary survey, hosted guided tours of our collection in the physical space of the Amazon Memory Center and offered courses on the statutes linked to the Federal University of Pará's Graduate Program in History. For the sake of future research on associations in Pará, it was necessary to have a historiographical debate on the subject, from the national context to our local problems.
