Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2549The present study was accomplished in the river Pará, municipal district of Barcarena and had as main focus to analyze physiochemical data of the quality of the superficial waters in the years from 2012 to 2016, also relating the behavior hydrometeorológical, in other words, an analysis of the temporary and space tendency of the quality of the superficial waters of the referred river. Taking into consideration account the variability of the annual seasonal precipitation, the diagnosis on the climatology of the precipitations in the State of Pará went essential for the results. The municipal district is characterized by the presence of great industries of the mining branch, pigments and cellulose and it possesses a port for the drainage of the production, located in Town of Conde. The physiochemical characterization has a great importance in the moment of to identify and to quantify elements and present ionic species in the body hydric. Parametric tests were used to evaluate 18 physical variables and chemistries in 3 monitoring points, occurring 10 campaigns of collections and some of the analyses in loco, so that they didn't lose a lot of their characteristics. The results were compared to the Brazilian patterns of quality of fresh water (Class 2), according to the Resolution n° 357 of 2005 of National Council of the Environment. In some samples, the results of the evaluations indicated that the parameters pH, color, BOD and iron came had been of the allowed values of CONAMA 357, in significance to these that varied in agreement with the seasonal period of the area and/or through the influence of spillings of urban sewers placed close to the point 2. The largest degradation is due to the pollution for domestic sewers, being ended that combined to the climatic variability of the area, it potentiates the alteration of the parameters of the waters of the river significantly Pará.
