dc.description.abstractThis mathematics course conclusion work has as its theme Ethnomathematics and the Agricultural Calendar of the Ribeirinha and Quilombola São Pedro community. It is the result of an interaction between a bibliographic research and a field research whose objective is to obtain an understanding of how the agricultural calendar works in the practice of family farming in this community, establishing a period for planting, harvesting and the amount of crops harvested in given area, that is, the amount of genus that each farmer can harvest per task, hectare or bushel planted. The work is justified by the small amount of research in this area in which science and the mathematical knowledge of a people are combined. The focus is on how ancient peoples measured things, in a rudimentary time, how mathematics is present in people's daily lives and how ethnomathematics can help to understand the knowledge generated in communities over the centuries. The methodology used will be bibliographic, quantitative and documentary; the collection of information on the topic, validated through analysis of results and discussions. The fundamental contribution of this study is to show that the production of knowledge occurs in all human cultures. The intention is to value the knowledge produced by the Ribeirinhas and Quilombola communities, which will contribute to the enrichment of the universal mathematical heritage.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste trabalho de conclusão de curso de matemática tem como tema a Etnomatemática e o Calendário Agrícola da comunidade Ribeirinha e Quilombola São Pedro. É resultado de uma interação entre uma pesquisa bibliográfica e uma pesquisa de campo cujo o objetivo é obter o entendimento de como funciona o calendário agrícola na prática da agricultura familiar desta comunidade, estabelecendo um período de plantio, de colheita e da quantidade de gêneros colhidos em determinada área, ou seja, quantidade de gênero que cada agricultor pode colher por tarefa, hectare ou alqueire plantado. O trabalho justifica-se pela pouca quantidade de pesquisa nessa área em que se junta a ciência e os saberes matemáticos de um povo. O foco centra-se em como os povos antigos mediam as coisas, em uma época rudimentar, como a matemática está presente no dia a dia das pessoas e como a etnomatemática pode ajudar a compreender os conhecimentos gerados nas comunidades ao longo dos séculos. A metodologia utilizada será a bibliográfica, quantitativa e documental; o levantamento de informações sobre o tema, validados por meio de análise dos resultados e as discussões. A contribuição fundamental desde estudo é mostrar que a produção de conhecimentos ocorre em todas as culturas humanas. A intenção é valorizar os conhecimentos produzidos pelas comunidades Ribeirinhas e Quilombolas, os quais vão contribuir para o enriquecimento do patrimônio matemático universal.pt_BR
