| dc.description.abstract | Technological advances in the digital era have profoundly transformed photography, with a great impact on capture techniques and the dissemination of images. The general objective of this study is to analyze the effect of the dissemination of image manipulation and photography techniques, facilitated by technological advances and the widespread use of mobile devices and digital applications, on the perception of reality and the construction of visual narratives. To achieve this objective, the systematic literature review methodology was adopted, with a comprehensive search in academic databases using specific keywords to select relevant studies from the last 20 years. The analysis of the selected works highlighted the democratization of photography through the popularization of digital cameras and smartphones, facilitating access and participation in the photographic act. A loss of photographic objectivity was observed due to digital manipulation of the images, questioning the authenticity and indexical relationship of the image with its referent. Furthermore, significant changes in photographic practice were identified, influenced both by the ease of obtaining and sharing photos, and by the emergence of new visual poetics and the simplification of photographic devices. This study concludes that the evolution of photography in the digital era has not only changed photographic techniques and aesthetics, but also redefined the relationship between individuals and images. The transition from analogue to digital, despite challenging traditional concepts of photography, opened up new creative and technical possibilities, expanding the role of photography in contemporary society. Thus, digital photography presents itself as a vital tool of expression and documentation, reflecting the complexities and dynamics of the era in which we live. | |
| dc.description.resumo | O avanço tecnológico na era digital transformou profundamente a fotografia, com grande impacto desde as técnicas de captura até a disseminação de imagens. Este estudo traz como objetivo geral analisar o efeito da disseminação das técnicas de manipulação de imagens e fotografia, facilitadas pelo avanço tecnológico e pelo uso generalizado de dispositivos móveis e aplicativos digitais, na percepção da realidade e na construção de narrativas visuais. Para atingir este objetivo, foi adotada a metodologia de revisão sistemática da literatura, com uma busca abrangente em bases de dados acadêmicas através de palavras-chave específicas para selecionar estudos relevantes dos últimos 20 anos. A análise dos trabalhos selecionados destacou a democratização da fotografia através da popularização de câmeras digitais e smartphones, facilitando o acesso e participação no ato fotográfico. Observou-se uma perda de objetividade fotográfica devido à manipulação digital das imagens, questionando a autenticidade e a relação indicial da imagem com seu referente. Além disso, foram identificadas mudanças significativas na prática fotográfica, influenciadas tanto pela facilidade de obtenção e compartilhamento de fotos, quanto pela emergência de novas poéticas visuais e a simplificação dos dispositivos fotográficos. Este estudo conclui que a evolução da fotografia na era digital não apenas alterou as técnicas e estética fotográficas, mas também redefiniu a relação dos indivíduos com a imagem. A transição do analógico para o digital, apesar de desafiar conceitos tradicionais da fotografia, abriu novas possibilidades criativas e técnicas, ampliando o papel da fotografia na sociedade contemporânea. Assim, a fotografia digital se apresenta como uma ferramenta vital de expressão e documentação, refletindo as complexidades e dinâmicas da era em que vivemos. | |
