dc.description.abstractThis work deta in the third novel of the Extremo-Norte cycle of Dalcídio Jurandir: Três casas e um rio. In it, one investigates itself from two overlapped planes, namely: the popular imaginary and the symbology pointed out by Furtado (2002). Therefore, through an analytical and interpretative reading, the research has as a general objective to investigate symbology, as a mechanism that articulates the meanings of human drama and to verify the imaginary as an aspect close to the fantastic. In addition to this, we have as specific objectives: to understand the symbolic structure of the narrative and the fantastic strand in its rhythm and form of its events, as a key factor of reading the work; to analyze particularly the symbology configuration relations as a striking metaphorical mechanism and the fantasy process of the protagonist, an eleven-year-old boy, as another symbolic game; to verify, in the seventh chapter of the narrative how it establishes the unusual events. The literary text of Dalcídio, considered for a long time by the critical reception as regionalist, goes beyond this representation. In this work, the marajoara exhibits social ills and human questions in a singular way and produced, in Chapter VII, a narrative universe with manifestations common in the strands of fantastic literature. Such traces are observed, especially, in the scenes where the kingdom of Marinatambalo appears, a place that sharpens the imagination of the residents of Cachoeira and Alfredo, protagonist of the cycle. The mentioned research becomes relevant because it will bring a new look on the production of literature of Amazon expression through all its symbolic aspect. For that, the study was based on the theoretical premises of the concept of symbolism from Sigmund Freud (2017), Chevalier and Gheerbrant (2003) and Northrop Frey (1973). And the notion of fantastic literature by Tzvetan Todorov (2014) and David Roas (2017).en
dc.description.resumoEste trabalho detém-se no terceiro romance do ciclo Extremo-Norte de Dalcídio Jurandir: Três casas e um rio. Nele, a partir dos apontamentos de Furtado (2002), investiga-se dois planos imbricados, à saber: o imaginário popular e a simbologia. Portanto, por meio de uma leitura analítica e interpretativa, a pesquisa tem como objetivo geral examinar a simbologia, como mecanismo que articula os significados dos dramas humanos e verificar o imaginário como um aspecto próximo da literatura fantástica. Além deste, tem-se como objetivos específicos: compreender a estrutura simbólica da narrativa e as vertentes fantásticas nos seus ritmos e formas de seus eventos, como fatores-chave de leitura da obra; analisar a configuração da simbologia como mecanismo metafórico marcante, assim como, o processo de fantasia do protagonista, um menino de onze anos, sendo mais um jogo simbólico; verificar no sétimo capítulo da narrativa como se instaura os eventos insólitos. O texto literário de Dalcídio, considerado por muito tempo pela recepção crítica como regionalista, vai além dessa representação. Na referida obra, o marajoara exibe as mazelas sociais e as questões humanas de forma singular e produziu, no capítulo VII, um universo narrativo com manifestações comuns nas vertentes da literatura fantástica. Tais traços são observados, especialmente, nas cenas onde surge o reino de Marinatambalo, lugar que aguça o imaginário dos moradores de Cachoeira e de Alfredo, protagonista do ciclo. A referida pesquisa se faz relevante, porque trará um novo olhar sobre a produção literária de expressão amazônica, através de todo seu aspecto simbólico. Para tanto, o estudo se amparou nas premissas teóricas do conceito de simbolismo a partir de Sigmund Freud (2017), Chevalier e Gheerbrant (2003) e Northrop Frey (1973). E da noção de literatura fantástica de Tzvetan Todorov (2014) e David Roas (2017).pt_BR
