| dc.description.abstract | The breezes circulations are analyzed regionally in the northeast region of the state of Pará. We used data for precipitation, air temperature, wind (direction and speed) for the locations of Cuiarana, Salinópolis, Bragança, Belém, and Soure provided by the INMET (National Institute of Meteorology) and LBA (Large Scale Biosphere-Atmosphere Experiment in Amazonia). Furthermore, we retrieved data from the CPC MORPH Technique with temporal resolution of 30 minutes and 8 km spatial and satellite images from the Meteosat–9. We calculated the hourly frequency of the meteorological variables direction and intensity of the wind, air temperature, and precipitation, which were analyzed climatologically and seasonally. We also applied the method of the wavelet transform in the spectral analysis of the zonal and meridional components. The results show that the sea breeze circulation is characterized in the northeastern/eastern quadrant and more intense in coastal regions during the hours from 09 to 21 LT. The land breeze circulation was observed only in Cuiarana, Salinópolis and Bragança in the southeastern/southern quadrant, while in Soure, there was land breeze in the northwestern/northern quadrant, due to its geographical position. In general, the land breeze showed to be more pronounced from 21 to 9 LT. In Belém, there was the presence of the river breeze in the northwestern/northern quadrant, with predominant time of occurrence from 12 to 00 LT and regular activities throughout the year. We detected seasonal variations during the rainy and dry season in the region. The hourly rainfall proved to be highly related to the sea breeze circulations. We also detected that some oscillations are decisive to the formation of the sea breeze. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.resumo | As circulações de brisas são analisadas regionalmente no nordeste paraense. Para isto, utilizou-se dados de precipitação, temperatura do ar, vento (direção e velocidade) para as localidades de Cuiarana, Salinópolis, Bragança, Belém e Soure disponibilizados pelo INMET e LBA. Além destes, utilizou-se também dados do CPC MORPHing technique com resolução temporal de 30 minutos e espacial de 8 km e imagens de satélites provenientes do METEOSAT – 9. Aplicou-se o cálculo da frequência horária das variáveis meteorológicas direção e intensidade do vento, temperatura do ar e precipitação, as quais foram analisadas climatologicamente e sazonalmente. Aplicou-se o método da transformada em ondeletas para a análise espectral das componentes zonais e meridionais. Os resultados mostram que a circulação de brisa marítima está caracterizada no quadrante de Nordeste/Leste e mais intensa em regiões costeiras, durante o horário das 09 às 21. A circulação de brisa terrestre foi observada somente em Cuiarana, Salinópolis e Bragança no quadrante de Sudeste/Sul, enquanto que em Soure, observou-se brisa terrestre no quadrante de Noroeste/Norte, devido a sua posição geográfica. Em geral a brisa terrestre demonstrou-se mais pronunciada entre as 21 às 9 (Hora Local). Em Belém, observou-se a presença da brisa fluvial, no quadrante de Noroeste/Norte, com horário predominante de ocorrência das 12 às 00 (Hora Local) e atuação regular ao longo do ano. Detectou-se variações sazonais durante o período chuvoso e menos chuvoso na região. A precipitação horária demonstrou-se altamente relacionada com as circulações de brisa marítima. Detectou-se também oscilações determinantes para a formação da brisa marítima. | pt_BR |
